16 April 2015 (Oslo, Norway) Telenor Satellite announces that Arianespace has confirmed that the THOR 7 satellite is now scheduled to launch on April 24, between the hours of 19:38 and 21:32 UTC (21:38-23:32 CEST).2015.
THOR 7, Telenor Satellite’s first growth satellite – which will deliver satellite services throughout Europe – is now ready for its launch on board the Ariane 5 launcher, designated flight VA222, which will also carry SICRAL 2 for Telespazia, on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Defence.
A live webcast will be available via a link on Telenor Satellite’s website, www.telenorsat.com/thor7, and the video transmission of the THOR 7 launch will start about 15 minutes before lift-off.
